Merry Christmas!

Christmas blessings to all our loved ones from the Sister Servants at Casa Maria! The Octave of Christmas is a joyous time of liturgy, visits, delicious treats, and the celebration and prayerful contemplation of the wonder of the Incarnation – God become man to save us from our sins and bring us with Him to Heaven!
  • The beginning of our “posadas” pilgrimage… accompanying Joseph and Mary as they search for shelter wherein the Christ-Child may be born.
  • Shelter for Jesus (and cookies for the children) have been found at the end of the “posadas” – and here are Our Lady and Juan Diego!
  • December 12th celebrating Our Lady of Guadalupe with singing…
  • … and dancing.
  • Christmas stockings require a hearth…

  • Everyone contributes to Christmas preparations
  • The Liturgy prolongs the Christmas Day for the entire octave!
  • Sister Rita Marie prepared a special Christmas tea for us.
  • This creche was made by the Benedictine nun Soeur Mercedes in her workshop in France.
  • The Crib, the Cross and the Eucharist – we celebrate the wondrous humility of our God in the Birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ!
